Came across an interesting tool today, when writing an Architectural Decision Record, and it seemed to be good enough to share.

ASCIIFlow allows us to draw simple architectural diagrams using ASCII Art, with a fantastically easy-to-use interface. For the time being, I will recommend.

Regarding writing Architectural Decision Records; this is something that is new to me, and I will reserve my comments until I learn more about if maintaining ADR’s in your project is a good practice in your project. I’m still learning more about it.
