Have a team with mixed remote/in-office modes of working will not be easy, as you had mentioned. I am fan of remote working if my team works remote too – else I might lose out context on decisions that could be taken over a conversation – which I might never get to learn.

On the other hand – something that caught me completely off guard with this remote working saga is how people can also get sad/down because they don’t see their office mates. The sheer number of people who mentioned this to me was surprising to me, to say the least.

Yeah, I think work has become an important social aspect for a lot of people’s lives. Especially here in the SF Bay area where having a life outside of work isn’t very common.
